Amber Benson bio
Amber Benson is an American actress, director, and producer. Most famously, she is known for her part as Tara Maclay on the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer and has also directed produced and performed in her own film Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Benson also appeared in the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was born on January 8, 1977 in Birmingham Alabama, daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson psychiatrist. Danielle Benson is her sibling and an accomplished artist. Benson attended a Reform Jewish synagogue while growing up. Her mother was a Southern Baptist and raised Jewish by her father, is as well Jewish. Benson has appeared featured in a variety of TV and film shows in the years since Buffy finished up, including The Killing Jar. While behind the lens, Benson used her creative talents to develop The Ghosts of Albion television series. In 2010 she directed Drones. Buffy says that she took the time to count them and identify them she found at least 1800 Slayers around the globe, including 500 who are connected to the Scooby Gang. Slayers will now become Slayers when they reach the age of maturity. Soledad's Slayer power was revealed on her sixteenth Birthday. Ruth Connell is set to portray Rowena in Season 10 of Supernatural. According to reports, Rowena is an ancient witch.
